SANDRA J ALESTRA is a licensed private investigator and intelligence research specialist. Ms. Alestra has over 25 years of experience in the private sector specializing in systems research and analysis. Between 1985 and 2001 Ms. Alestra worked for several worldwide companies effectively learning corporate operations and their systems. Ms. Alestra was able to quickly assess the company’s internal weaknesses and implemented new systems that increased efficiency and revenues.  While employed as the Director of Operations for an international transportation company, Ms. Alestra developed and implemented a computerized system, which provided enough information to expose an elaborate internal theft ring that had resulted in the annual loss of a half a million dollars. Working undercover for nearly a year Ms. Alestra was an intricate part of the investigation which led to the arrest and conviction of several subcontractors.  

In February of 2001, Ms. Alestra joined a prestigious New York private investigative company as a full time researcher and analyst.

Months after the attacks of September 11th, 2001, the City of New York retained the services of several private companies for the purpose of monitoring the recovery effort at the World Trade Center. As part of this effort Ms. Alestra conducted comprehensive background investigations of dozens of construction companies and employees working at the World Trade Center site. As a result of Ms. Alestra's research, several areas of possible fraud waste and abuse were identified at "Ground Zero".

Ms. Alestra has conducted thousands of comprehensive research assignments, including assignment related to Federal Court appointed monitorships, self imposed monitorships and monitorships required by governmental and regulatory agencies.
 
Ms. Alestra has since incorporated her own company and services the New York and tri-state area. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and is a member of the International Association of Independent Private Sector Inspectors General. IAIPSIG is a nonprofit professional association whose mission is to preserve and promote integrity, honesty, impartiality and professionalism in the work of IAIPSIGs, monitors and independent investigators.

Ms. Alestra is also a member of the Associated Licensed Detectives of New York State (ALDONYS). Her company is also certified as a Women-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) through the NYS and NYC Department of Small Business Services and as a DBE with the NYS Unified Certification Program.
